Disciple Bible Study
Throughout the year, Disciple Bible Study groups gather for several weeks of intense study of the bible. Currently, the Bible Study is using the Disciple II curriculum.
Fall weather means back to school, and for those of us who enjoy rigorous academic efforts no matter what our age, that also means Disciple Bible Study!
The United Methodist Church, through its Cokesbury publishing arm, offers a four-part series of intensive Bible study for adults. At East End, we’ve had several classes for Disciple I, and this year (through may 2015) we are diving into Disciple II.
Each course is 32 to 37 weeks long, so it’s quite a commitment. The Disciple II class is meeting on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Fireplace Room (upstairs behind the sanctuary), but we also try every few weeks to meet in a class member’s home for potluck and fellowship along with our studies.
If you’re interested in attending, by all means please join us! Many people cannot commit to the full schedule, but like to drop in and “audit” a class just to enjoy lively conversation and fellowship. The more the merrier! (And if you’re interested in participating in the Fall 2015 class, please let Rev. Judi Hoffman, or any of the current class members, know.)
