CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
We love and value all children and families and we desire to support them as they grow and follow Jesus together. Children are welcomed, embraced and celebrated as a part of our full worshipping community. We seek to nurture the spirituality of all children of God through exploring God’s story, imagination, creativity, spiritual practice, relationship, play, service and compassion. Come be a part of a community where families of all shapes and sizes find belonging, connection and the love of God.
MORE ABOUT EEUMC CHILDREN'S AND FAMILIY MINISTRY
Children’s Church is an opportunity for children ages 4 years -4th grade to experience worship in a kid-friendly way. Every Sunday we invite children to join our team during the sermon, where they will hear and wonder about God's story and discover more about God's love through intentional conversation, spiritual practices and hands-on activities. After Children's Church, children are returned to participate in the remainder of the worship service with their families. Contact Rev. Joanna Cummings (joanna@eastendumc.org) for more information.
Families with children are invited to join us for our monthly lunch gatehring immediately after Sunday worship. Here we hope for families with children to find connection and community together. While the weather is warm, we will picnic outdoors at Warner. All are welcome!
During Sunday morning worship, we offer an excellent Nursery Ministry for children ages 8 weeks - 4 years. Infants and toddlers are cared for in a clean, safe, and loving environment. Older babies and toddlers enjoy "Toddler Church" where they hear stories from the Bible, pray, play, and sing. The nursery space is filled with holy play. Email Pastor Joanna at joanna@eastendumc.org for more information or to pre-register your child to participate.
Parenting young children is difficult. We want to help connect parents with community during this season of family life. Families with babies and toddlers are invited to join us for our bi-monthly play group (older siblings are welcome too!).
We know that parenting comes with its own challenges and we desire to support, pray for and walk beside you as you nurture your child in the Christian faith and in life. Faith resources to use at home are available for families and will be distributed throughout the seasons of the church year. Contact Pastor Joanna (joanna@eastendumc.org) to learn more.
The EEUMC Vacation Bible School held each summer is a time of fun, faith-forming and engaging activities for children ages 4-rising 5th grade. Click HERE to learn about this year's Compassion Camp.
Join us for the biggest Easter egg hunt in East Nashville! The event happens in the church park, along with a reading of the Easter Story and Easter-themed activities for kids of all ages. All are invited and welcome!
